These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the OCR A-Level Chemistry Mastery website, 1-on-1 Private Tutoring packages, and OCR A-Level Chemistry Mastery programmes.

 

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a purchase. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to the applicable section of these Terms & Conditions.

 

PART 1: GENERAL TERMS & WEBSITE USE

(Applies to all website visitors, tutoring clients, and programme participants)

 

1. About Us

OCR A-Level Chemistry Mastery provides educational resources, online chemistry teaching, live coaching, 1-on-1 private tutoring, and academic support for students studying OCR A-Level Chemistry.

For the purposes of these Terms:

 

  • "We", "us" or "our" means OCR A-Level Chemistry Mastery.

     

  • "You" or "your" means the person making the purchase.

     

  • "Student" means the individual receiving the educational or tutoring services.

     

Where a parent or guardian purchases services for a student, the parent or guardian remains fully responsible for payment and compliance with these Terms.

 

2. Website Use & Intellectual Property

You may use our website for lawful purposes only.

 

Unless otherwise stated, all educational materials supplied (including video lessons, worksheets, exam resources, presentations, diagrams, and Vault content) are owned by or licensed to us.

 

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use these materials for the student's personal study only. You must not:

 

  • Copy, reproduce, redistribute, or sell any content;

     

  • Share login details or account access with third parties;

     

  • Use our materials to provide your own commercial teaching or tutoring services;

     

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or materials.

     

3. Liability & Educational Outcomes

We provide all services with reasonable care and skill. However, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, exam grades, university offers, or admissions to specific degree courses (such as Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Science). Academic results depend on student effort, prior knowledge, and exam performance.

 

We are not responsible for service interruptions caused by third-party platform failures (including Zoom, Bitpaper, Stripe, or Vimeo) or internet issues outside our control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited under English law.

 

4. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Contact paul@alevelchemistrytuition.com to resolve any operational complaints directly.

 

PART 2: 1-ON-1 PRIVATE TUTORING TERMS

(Applies strictly to 1-on-1 private tutoring packages)

 

5. Billing and Auto-Renewal

Individual tutoring is sold as a recurring package covering four 1-hour sessions, billed automatically every 28 days via Stripe:

 

  • Standard Peak Package: £320 per 28-day cycle (£80/hr);

     

  • Off-Peak Package: £240 per 28-day cycle (£60/hr).

     

Payment must clear prior to the first session of each 28-day cycle. If payment fails or is not completed prior to the scheduled start time, the reserved time slot is immediately released to other students.

 

6. Attendance, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

  • 48-Hour Notice: A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to reschedule a session.

     

  • Short-Notice Cancellations: Any session canceled, moved, or requested to be changed with less than 48 hours notice is forfeited and charged in full.

     

  • No-Shows: If a student fails to log into the designated virtual classroom within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session is treated as a no-show and forfeited.

     

  • Reschedule Window: Approved rescheduled sessions must be taken within the active 28-day billing cycle, subject to availability.

     

7. Package Expiration

Each 4-week session block must be fully utilized within 5 weeks of the payment date. Unused sessions do not roll over beyond this 5-week window and are non-refundable.

 

8. Rates and Slot Classifications

  • Standard Peak Rate (£80/hr - £320 block): Applies to all weekday evening sessions (4:00 PM onwards), weekend sessions, and all session times booked during school holidays and half-terms.

     

  • Off-Peak Rate (£60/hr - £240 block): Applies strictly to weekday daytime sessions (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) scheduled during active school term times when school is in session.

     

9. Subscription Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel your recurring 28-day subscription at any time by providing written notice to paul@alevelchemistrytuition.com at least 7 days prior to your next billing date.

 

Once a 28-day billing cycle has commenced or the first session of that block has been delivered, payments for that active cycle are strictly non-refundable. The 14-Day Guarantee in Part 3 does not apply to 1-on-1 Private Tutoring.

 

PART 3: OCR A-LEVEL CHEMISTRY MASTERY PROGRAMMES

(Applies strictly to Year 12 and Year 13 Mastery group programmes and Vault access)

 

10. Programme Delivery & Access

Mastery programmes include access to live group coaching, session recordings, WhatsApp support, and the OCR Chemistry Mastery Vault as described on the specific checkout page.

 

Access is granted for the duration specified at purchase (e.g., six-month fixed term or recurring monthly subscription). Shared access across multiple students is strictly prohibited.

 

11. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Mastery Programmes Only)

For eligible Mastery Programme purchases, you may request a full refund within 14 days of enrolment, provided that ALL of the following criteria are met:

 

  • No more than 2 Vault lessons have been accessed;

     

  • No more than 2 live coaching sessions have been attended;

     

  • No 1:1 progress session included in the programme has taken place;

     

  • No downloadable programme resources have been saved or exported.

     

If any of these limits are exceeded, the guarantee is void. To request a refund, email paul@alevelchemistrytuition.com within the 14-day window.

 

12. Monthly Subscription Cancellation

For monthly Mastery subscriptions, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future recurring charges, and access continues until the end of the current paid billing cycle. Partial refunds are not issued for unused portions of a monthly billing period.

 

13. Group Conduct & WhatsApp Rules

Members must communicate respectfully across all live coaching text channels and WhatsApp support groups. We reserve the right to remove any individual from group channels or terminate access without a refund in cases of severe disruption, abusive language, or unauthorized sharing of copyright content.
